About Gayster.com and the Information We Collect
Gayster.com is a social networking service that connects people through networks of friends for communicating, sharing, and making new friends in an online community. Each Gayster.com Member can create his/her own Website-Profile in order to describe him/her and identify him/her under the Search functionality. This Website-Profile can be viewed by others at the Member's discretion by logging into Gayster.com and choosing Account Settings on the "Account" Page. Gayster.com collects user submitted information such as name, email address, and age to authenticate users and to send notifications to those relating to the Gayster.com service. Gayster.com also collects user submitted information such as gender, occupation, self-description, photos, blog & journal entries, etc. that the user wishes to share with users (visitors and other members). This information is used to assist users in finding and communicating with each other. Each member can change his/her Website-Profile information at any time and can control how other users and the service communicates with them.

Gayster.com™ is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy Statement sets forth our current privacy practices with regard to the information we collect when you or your computer interact with our website. By accessing Gayster.com, you acknowledge and fully understand Gayster.com's Privacy Policy Statement and freely consent to the information collection and use practices described in this Website Privacy Policy Statement.

Other Information submitted by Members to Gayster.com
You should also be aware that Members may reveal other personal information while communicating on other areas of the Gayster.com, e.g., while participating in discussions between Members, as well as on Gayster.com Groups, and/or posting information on Gayster.com Blogs. This information, in turn, might be viewed by other Members or visitors to the Gayster.com website who are not Members.
Information Submitted by Users to Gayster.com
User Website-Profile information including Members' Photos and Display Names are displayed to people in order to facilitate user interaction in the Gayster.com social networking community. Email addresses are used for the purposes of inviting new friends to join Gayster.com, to add users to Members' Friend Networks, and to send notifications related to the service. With the exception of inviting friends, adding friends, and notifications, a user's email address is not shared or displayed to people within a Member's Personal Network. Members within a Personal Network communicate on Gayster.com with each other through the Gayster.com service without disclosing their email addresses. Users' full names are never directly revealed to other members, unless the Member uses his/her full name as the Display Name or uses his/her full name as the Username while registering. We at Gayster.com strongly discourage Members from adding their Full Names to the Display Name and/or the Username. Any user who adds his/her full name to a publicly visible area does so at his/her own risk. To facilitate searching and finding friends and acquaintances on the service, Gayster.com allows users to search for other Members using Real Name, Display Name, Email Address, and/or non-personally identifiable information such as Zodiac Sign, Interests, Description, Occupation, etc.
We may also use a Member's email address to send the Gayster.com Newsletter, which many contain updates or news regarding the service. Users may choose not to receive Messages of this type by changing their "Notification" setting to "No" under the "Account" Page, where it says "Email Me: and click where it says" The Gayster.com Newsletter."
Correcting/Updating or Removing Information
Gayster.com users may modify or remove any of their personal information at any time by logging into their account and accessing features such as the Edit Profile Page and Account Information found in the Account Page.
Information Not Directly Submitted by Members or Other Website Users to Gayster.com
We also collect some information from users, including Members, as well as from other visitors to the Gayster.com website, that is not personally identifiable, such as browser type and IP address. This information is gathered from all Members and visitors to the website. This non-personally-identifiable information may be shared with third-parties to provide more relevant services and advertisements to members. User IP addresses are recorded for security and monitoring purposes.
Invitations and Other Communications to Non-members
Gayster.com Members can invite friends to join the service by sending invitation emails via our automated invitation system. Gayster.com stores the email addresses that Members provide so that the respondents may be added to the Friend Network of the Member sending the invitations. At a later time, Gayster.com may use these stored email addresses to also send reminders of the invitations. Again, Gayster.com does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication besides invitations to join Gayster.com and possibly at a later date, invitation reminders. Recipients of invitations from Gayster.com can contact Gayster.com to request the removal of their information from our database.
Security
Gayster.com Member accounts are secured by member-created passwords. Gayster.com takes precautions to insure that Member account information is kept private. We use reasonable measures to protect Member information that is stored within our database, and we restrict access to Member information to those employees who need access to perform their job functions, such as our customer service personnel and technical staff. Please note that we cannot guarantee the security of Member account information. Cookies
Gayster.com may use cookies to personalize or enhance your user experience. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Classifieds, Message Boards, and Other Public Forums
Please be aware that whenever you voluntarily post public information to Classifieds, Message Boards, or any other Public Forums, the posted information can be accessed by the public and can in turn be used by those people to send you unsolicited communications.
Using Other Services While on Gayster.com
Gayster.com may incorporate third-party services. Use of such services, such as the uploading of video, is subject to the third-party's Privacy Policy. Presently, when you upload video on Gayster.com, you are using Revver.com's service. All videos uploaded and use of that service is not governed by this Gayster.com Privacy Policy Statement. We recommend you go to Revver.com and review their Privacy Policy and Terms of Use before uploading any video onto Gayster.com.
Email Choice/Opt-out
Members who no longer wish to receive our email updates or other email notifications may opt-out of receiving these communications by following the instructions contained in the applicable email or by logging-in and changing their settings in the "Account" Page of the Gayster.com website. You can access this page by clicking on the "Home" link on the top left corner once you are logged into the Gayster.com website.
Third Party Advertising
Ads appearing on the Gayster.com website may be delivered to users by Gayster.com or one of our Web advertising partners. Our Web advertising partners may set cookies.
